Health Threat

Discarded tires present another risk that may not be as obvious as waste generation. Tires can collect water and become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other pests. This effect can, in turn, increase the risk for vector-borne diseases such as encephalitis.

Mosquitoes cause more human suffering than any other organism -- over one million people worldwide die from mosquito-borne diseases every year. Not only can mosquitoes carry diseases that afflict humans, they also transmit several diseases and parasites that dogs and horses are very susceptible to.

Retread Instead so we can decrease the amount of tires in our landfills thereby decreasing the breeding grounds of those nasty mosquitoes.
